Our teams are also hands on, fully engaged with lab and factory prototypes, running testing trials in the lab, and leading field installation campaigns up-tower. We also use a structured approach based on Six Sigma principles to running projects, and we’re expected to lead teams of colleagues to deliver on business-critical projects for clients.

To help our team grow and tackle new projects, we are seeking a talented and motivated Project Management Office Coordinator to join our growing team in New Orleans. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of our projects and the continuous improvement of our project management, product management, and quality management practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project management tools and processes, including tools used to manage project planning and execution along with ensuring project governance processes are being applied effectively.
  • Coordinate project governance and communication activities for both internal and customer interfaces, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage project management competency and training activities, including identifying training needs, developing training materials, and delivering training sessions per planned training sessions or as needed.
  • Assist in the creation or modification of new and existing tools and processes for managing projects and the project portfolio.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a quality management system and the processes required to ensure high-quality process documentation across engineering, operations, and other company functions.  Lead effort to gain industry certifications in quality standards
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement in both project management and quality management practices.
  • Research and evaluate new project management and quality management technologies and tools to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and conformance to quality standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project portfolio status, risks, opportunities, and performance metrics.
  • Align project management tools and process with internal development of products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working in project management.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
  • Ability to write scripts and automate tasks using languages like Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a positive and pro-active attitude.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and quality excellence.

Desired characteristics

  • Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization and analysis tools.
  • Experience with implementing and/or managing PMO tools and processes.
  • Experience with implementing and/or managing a quality management system that enables certification of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in the wind industry, but candidates with translatable experience are encouraged to apply.
