We are enjoying ramping up our K-12 STEM engagement in the region and leaning into our exciting wind energy partnership with Jefferson Parish Schools. This is all part of our Shell sponsored, Gulf Wind Technology Accelerator program, which is developing and demonstrating novel concepts to de-risk the renewable energy addition in the Gulf of Mexico region.
Last week, the Gulf Wind Technology engineering and operations teams welcomed Jefferson Parish School K-12 STEM students to our Avondale state-of-the-art facility. We took students on a journey of how their skills can be applied to the Wind Energy industry, and especially to the emerging technology and manufacturing market in their home town.
